Rainbow Sorting Set

Make learning with your child fun with the Rainbow Sorting Set. It is recommended for ages 3 and up. Here are a few ideas for use at home:

Speech & Language:  Work on identifying and naming colors. You can also practice following directions and/or spatial concepts by telling your child where to put an item (or who to give it to – can use people or toys around the home. You can also target flexible thinking and problem-solving skills by having them compare and contrast patterns.

Fine Motor/Visual Motor: Your child can strengthen their hands and fingers by using the tongs to pick up colored pieces.

Sensory: Each of the items in the set can be hidden in sensory bins. They can also be placed in a sand box with the child so they can find them while in the sand.

Gross Motor: Have your child pick up an item with the tongs. Then have them complete one of their gross motor exercises, such as balancing on one foot, while moving the item to its matching color.
